MSNBC host Joe Scarborough took a shot at Fox News rival Sean Hannity on Monday, calling his nightly program “state-run television” during a segment about the latest developments in the investigation into links between the Donald Trump campaign and Russia.
Donald Trump Jr. went on “Hannity” Tuesday to discuss a meeting he had last year with a Russian attorney and said the story had nothing more to it, but since then reports have emerged of other Russia-connected individuals in the meeting and evolving explanations for what happened from the White House.
Trump Jr. took the meeting with the understanding he would get compromising information about Hillary Clinton, which critics have said shows willingness to collude with the Kremlin.
Hannity, a conservative commentator who openly supports the Trump administration, asked the president’s son largely soft questions during their interview.
