Harrington: Trump Signed ‘Commonsense’ Executive Order on Health Care

Washington Free Beacon reporter Elizabeth Harrington called President Donald Trump’s executive order on health care Thursday a “commonsense” measure that conservatives have wanted for years.

Trump signed an executive order allowing Americans to purchase health insurance across state lines, a move that was praised by vehement Obamacare opponent Sen. Rand Paul (R., Ky.).

“Here what we have is something that conservatives have been talking about for years,” Harrington said on Fox Business. “Pretty much a decade they’ve been saying we need to open up health insurance like any other insurance, car insurance or anything else. You need to be able to buy it across state lines. You need competition. That will drive prices down, so I think this is one commonsense thing that he can do through the regulatory action.”
